I can't log in to my Google account any more. At least not using the Web UI. I can still receive an email from Google alerting me to the danger that "someone" tried to log in using my password. (It was me, though.) For some reason, all mechanisms to "recover" access to my account directed me into an infinite loop.
Unfortunately, it's not hard for me to imagine the incompetent steps taken in designing the software logic that resulted in this very special user experience.
Fortunately, I now have this pretty compelling reason to never use my Google account again. Thank you, Google, for self-fulfilling this prophecy.
Update over 1 year later: Google sent an email to my blocked account — which I can still read — informing me that they might be deleting the account in ~2 years for inactivity.
"That's cool; I'm not in a hurry." Who knows how many of these "dead" accounts they have caused.
They also sent this email to say they will be sending me more emails about my account, which I can't do anything about. Well, it looks like I'll have to block Google now.

As such, it probably should not be read by anyone.
