After seeing this music video, I became a little too curious and discovered that it was essentially the "pilot" for the TV show Portlandia. I've seen two episodes now, and I would say the show has a lot in common with Flight of the Conchords, in that it's about the misadventures of an immature, quirky, low-key duo who nonchalantly exist in a world that's not quite connected with reality. But the scenes in Portlandia are much more random and the humor is inconsistenly hit-or-miss, and the hints of further music video sequences are half-hearted. I'm a little disappointed because the show for the most part isn't as funny nor well established as the "pilot" music video linked above.
